The Tutorial Script / Guide
Prerequisites (What you need before starting)
A USB Flash Drive (at least 8GB).
A separate, working computer (to download the Windows files).
A stable Internet connection.
Step 1: Create the Bootable USB Installer
Note: Do this on your working computer, not the new empty one.
Go to the official Microsoft Windows 11 Download page.
Scroll down to the section titled "Create Windows 11 Installation Media."
Click Download Now to get the "Media Creation Tool."
Plug your USB drive into the computer.
Open the downloaded tool and accept the license terms.
Select USB flash drive when asked what media to use.
Select your USB drive from the list and click Next.
Warning: This will erase everything on that USB drive.
Wait for the download to finish. Once it says "Your USB flash drive is ready," click Finish.
Step 2: Boot the New PC from the USB
Plug the USB drive into the New PC (make sure the PC is off).
Turn on the PC and immediately start tapping the Boot Menu Key.
Common Keys by Brand:
HP: F9
Dell: F12
Asus: F8
Lenovo: F12 or Nova Button
Gigabyte/MSI: F12 or F11
A menu will appear on the screen. Use your arrow keys to select your USB Drive (sometimes labeled as "UEFI: [USB Name]") and press Enter.
Step 3: The Windows Installation
Initial Setup: You will see the Windows logo. Select your Language, Time, and Keyboard method. Click Next $\rightarrow$ Install Now.
Product Key:
If you have a key, type it in.
If you don't have one yet, click "I don't have a product key" at the bottom. You can activate it later.
Select Version: Choose Windows 11 Home or Pro (Home is best for most users). Click Next.
License: Check the box to accept the license terms and click Next.
Installation Type: Click on Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
Drive Selection:
You will see a drive listed as "Drive 0 Unallocated Space."
Select it and click Next.
Note: Windows will automatically create the necessary partitions.
The computer will now copy files and restart a few times. Remove the USB drive when the computer restarts for the first time so it doesn't boot back into the installer.
Step 4: The Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE)
Region: Select your country -----> Yes.
Keyboard: Select your layout ------> Yes (Skip second layout).
Network: Connect to your Wi-Fi or plug in an Ethernet cable.
Updates: The PC will check for updates and restart.
Name Your Device: Give your PC a name (or skip for now).
Microsoft Account: Sign in with your Outlook/Microsoft email.
Privacy Settings: Toggle the switches based on your preference (Turning off "Advertising ID" and "Diagnostic Data" is common for privacy).
Success! You will arrive at the new Windows 11 Desktop.
Pro Tips for the Description
To make your tutorial even better, add these notes in your description or as spoken tips:
TPM 2.0: Mention that if the PC is brand new, it likely supports TPM 2.0 automatically. If they get an error saying "This PC can't run Windows 11," they may need to enable "Secure Boot" or "TPM" in the BIOS.
Drivers: Remind viewers that after installation, they should run "Windows Update" immediately to get all the correct drivers for their screen and sound.
